TAP.tv began technical development in 2005, with six early employees contributing sweat equity and its founders covering expenses. It raised an initial $2.5 million in 2006. Three subsequent funding rounds followed, a cumulative total of $14 million has been raised and the Company is on target to reach cash flow neutrality in 2010. TAP.tv's investors include its employees, several dozen individual investors; St. Louis-based Harbour Group (owner of AMI); and Banner Capital (an affiliate of Cardinal Growth, a Chicago-based private equity firm).
