John Malec, Chairman, CEO & Founder

A member of the Chicago-area Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame, John Malec is a life-time serial entrepreneur.

He is best known as founder of Information Resources, Inc. ("IRIC"), a NASDAQ Company that achieved $600 million in annual revenues during his tenure. John Malec took IRIC from a concept through commercialization through an IPO. Within a few years, IRIC disrupted AC Nielsen's 40 years of dominance as the largest source of market tracking data in the U.S. Malec was awarded the prestigious Parlin award, recognition as national "Marketer of the Year," served on the Marketing Advisory Board of the Wharton School, was named Illinois Hi-Tech Entrepreneur of the Year, and won Wall Street Week's Silver Medal as one of the top Information Industry CEO's.

Immediately prior to founding TAP.tv™, Inc., he served as CEO and majority shareholder of Malec Holdings, II (MH II), a private land development corporation. Concurrent with founding MHII, he also consulted for Peapod, Inc. the first Internet grocer, during their start-up and successful IPO. While still in his 20's, John Malec also helped found and was 20% owner of the NPD Group, also one of the world's largest marketing research firms.

Mr. Malec received his bachelor's degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin, with a dual major in marketing and finance. He studied for an MBA at Northwestern University. He has taught marketing at the University level, published in the area of new product marketing and forecasting, and consulted for a variety of the U.S.'s most sophisticated consumer packaged goods companies during which time he evaluated more than 500 new consumer product launches. He has received U.S. and international patents in the field of information technology. Advertising Age called Mr. Malec the "father of scanner data"; his BehaviorScan concept was the first commercial application of targetable television advertising.

Tim Dorgan, President, COO

Tim Dorgan brings 30 years of management experience in the integrated marketing services business to his role at TAP.tv™. Immediately preceding his role at TAP, he was Chief Executive Officer for J. Brown, a $150MM division of the Grey Global Group (owned by WPP Group) that focused on bringing innovative promotion and new media solutions to clients such as Kraft, Procter & Gamble, Nokia and Diageo.

Tim was responsible for leading the company's evolution from a retail co-marketing entity to a multi-media promotional marketing agency that is becoming a leader in the emerging space known as "shopper marketing."

Prior to his tenure at J.Brown, Tim also held senior management positions at J.Walter Thompson, Ketchum Communications and Bozell, with responsibility for business units that brought integrated marketing solutions to Kellogg, Campbell's, Sara Lee and ConAgra among others.

Tim also served as founder and President of Peapod Interactive, the marketing services division of America's leading Internet grocer. This division leveraged the unique targeted media and information capabilities of the online shopping experience to create a suite of innovative online marketing service products. Clients served included Anheuser-Busch, Purina, Nestle, Procter & Gamble and Kraft.

He has been a contributing editor to Progressive Grocer and is currently a regular contributor to The Hub, a leading point-of-decision marketing publication.

In his spare time, Tim is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University Medill School of Integrated Marketing Communications where he teaches graduate level courses in Direct Marketing and CRM strategy.

Terry Disz, PhD, Co-founder and Head Technologist

Terry Disz received his PhD from the University of Illinois, studying under Dr. Thomas DeFanti, where both were involved in the early pioneering computer animation work at the Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL). During Terry's tenure at EVL he worked on several fascinating projects, including the first virtual reality "cave;" he also developed software tools and animations for the original Star Wars movie.

Terry is currently the senior member of the computing "Futures Laboratory" at Argonne National Laboratories, a think tank that develops state-of-the-art computing solutions for a variety of complex issues facing business and mankind overall.

As a senior manager at Argonne, Terry is exposed to virtually every new computing technology at a very early stage and has published scores of academic papers. His work runs the gamut from p.c.-based applications, through Linux and other operating systems, to super computing.

Mr. Disz remains an employee at Argonne; however, Argonne is much like a University environment, which encourages outside "real world" experience. Terry also has some flexibility in scheduling his personal time. He provides sufficient time both to mastermind technical development of the Company's business and hire and supervise the Company's senior technical resources. He will continue as the Company's chief technical strategist indefinitely.

John Winans, Chief Technology Officer

John Winans is the Company's full time Chief Technologist. His background is ideal for the task and he has a long history of collaborating with Terry Disz, TAP.tv™'s technical guru.

John couples a master' degree in computer science with a life-time interest in gadgets, controls, embedded systems and entrepreneurial ventures. He oversees engineering and the software backbone for TAP.tv's web services network.

Prior to joining TAP.tv, John was co-founder of Rickard & Winans LLC, where he was master system architect of their data-driven market analysis and automated trading systems. Earlier in his career Mr. Winans was co-founder and President of Ganymede Corporation; a firm engaged in Internet site hosting, data collection and customized communication interfaces. He ran Ganymede from l995 until its sale in mid-l999.

John's experience includes: instructor in computer science at NIU; six years at Argonne National Laboratory as a computer scientist, where he developed software for computer-based control systems for the Advanced Photon Source project; Director of Technology for Market Processing Corporation, where he designed and programmed a system for automated acceptance of market and limit orders using a programmable decision matrix; and three years with AT&T labs in the late 80's as an Information Systems staff member, where his work included selection and installation of early Ethernets, TCP/IP and UNIX protocols throughout AT&T

Mark Ventling, EVP Business Development

Mark Ventling handles new strategic initiatives for TAP.tv™ as Executive Vice President of Business Development. Mark's background includes a Harvard MBA and personal entrepreneurial success.

He comes to TAP from Clearvue & SVE. Mark and his partner acquired this K-12 educational media producer and distributor in the early 90's; and grew revenue 600% while achieving very high profitability. He purchased competitors to achieve scale, then focused on organic growth. Mark personally led several major changes in strategic direction; developed a talented management team; and directed creation of the award-winning, leading-edge Internet media-on-demand product, powermediaplus.com. In 2006 Mark sold the company to Discovery Education, A Discovery Channel company.

Mark's prior experience includes executive positions with M&T Bank; and Assistant to the President at The Valley Line Company.
